To, Amma, Within us , everywhere

To, Amma, Within us , everywhere

You thought us to live life full and clear
Sans thoughts of doubt or mindless fear
To accept life as it comes with Courage
Lucky were we to be under your tutelage

You thought us the true meaning of love
To love with compassion ,warm and mellow
To love one and all like a true sage
Lucky were we to be under your tutelage

You thought us that in life to respect women
That equal they were in everything to men
Neither to abuse nor subject them to one’s rage
Lucky were we to be under your tutelage

You thought us that truth was above all virtues
That lies of the world were not to jaundice our views
That being honest was to be in Gods own Image
Lucky were we to be under your tutelage

You thought us never to look at the colour of skin
That it was gods gift , with what one came in
That the true beauty was in the mind, at every age
Lucky were we to be under your tutelage

You thought us the true art of perseverance
That to strive hard was life’s only true penance
Not to give up in the storms of life’s Voyage
Lucky were we to be under your tutelage

You thought us to accept pain when should it come
That with belief in self, pain would be overcome
That pain is a momentary battle that we wage
Lucky were we to be under your tutelage

You thought us that who we are is really what we are
To us you were and are our bright guiding star
Our lives are a book remembering you on every page
Lucky were we to be under your tutelage

You have left us and in form and body you are not around
But all we have to do is seek you and you will be found
For you live deep in our hearts, for us to pay homage
Lucky were we to be under your tutelage

Walk our lives, we will strong and brave, and never alone
In humility we will bow, and our sins we will atone
We will stand and Smile at life’s every stage
Lucky were we to be under your tutelage
